Job Summary:

The Returns Processor will be responsible for handling, inspecting, and processing returned items in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process returned items, ensuring they are inspected for quality, condition, and completeness.
- Accurately document the condition of returned items, categorizing and labeling them appropriately.
- Identify defective or damaged products and determine the proper disposition, including return to inventory or disposal.
- Ensure returns are processed in accordance with Amazons policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy of inventory and product availability.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and warehouse guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues, escalations, or inventory discrepancies.
- Assist in inventory management tasks related to returns, ensuring items are restocked or disposed of efficiently.
- Participate in periodic audits of returned merchandise and assist in identifying improvements to the returns process.
- Meet daily productivity and quality targets as defined by the team or management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications or education is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle and inspect various products, from electronics to household goods.
- Proficient in using basic computer systems to log return information.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physical stamina to lift and move items as required (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in a warehouse or customer service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, inventory management, or customer service role preferred.
- Experience with returns processing, product inspection, or similar tasks is a plus.
- Prior experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is advantageous.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position.
- Shifts may vary based on business needs, including weekend and evening hours.
- Standard working hours are typically 8-hour shifts, but flexibility may be required during peak periods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to identify potential issues with returned items and provide solutions.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
