Job Summary:
Amazon is seeking a dedicated and efficient Delivery Support Worker to join our logistics team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating delivery routes, schedules, and driver assignments to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Support drivers with any logistical challenges, such as route changes, delays, or vehicle issues.
- Manage and track inventory to ensure accurate delivery preparation and that all necessary supplies are available for drivers.
- Liaise with dispatch teams to provide real-time updates and resolve any delivery-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards across all delivery processes.
- Assist in maintaining records of delivery activities, including tracking delivery statuses and customer feedback.
- Provide administrative support by handling delivery documents, invoices, and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with delivery drivers, dispatch teams, and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and route planning.
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and logistics tracking tools.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and problem-solve in real time.
Experience:
- Previous experience in logistics, customer service, or a delivery support role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-demand environment is highly valued.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position.
- Flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, depending on the operational needs.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet delivery deadlines.
