Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our India Accounting team. This team is responsible for building world-class financial systems and solutions to support Amazons global growth. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust software systems for financial and accounting operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across multiple systems.
• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python, or a similar language.
• In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS).
• Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience with financial or accounting systems is a plus.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours

• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (flexibility available based on project needs).
