As an online counsellor, you will provide personalized guidance to students, helping them navigate academic choices, career paths, and skill development. You will serve as a mentor, a problem-solver, and a resource for students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they feel supported and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one virtual counselling sessions to assess students academic and career aspirations.
• Guide students in selecting educational programs and institutions that align with their goals.
• Assist students in understanding application processes, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities.
• Provide coaching on time management, study strategies, and personal development.
• Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, student progress, and feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create resources and workshops addressing common student challenges.
• Stay updated on global education trends, admission policies, and program offerings.
• Handle inquiries promptly via email, chat, or video conferencing platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field. A Master degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in academic or career counselling, preferably in an online setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient approach.
• Familiarity with global educational systems and career pathways.
• Proficiency in virtual communication tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and email management systems.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years in an educational counselling or related role.
• Experience in online counselling platforms or virtual education environments is highly preferred.

Working Hours:

• Flexible work schedule with core availability during peak counselling hours.
• Must be available to accommodate students across different time zones as needed.
