Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a talented and creative Mid-Level UX Designer to join our remote team on a contract basis. In this role, you will craft user-centered designs and deliver exceptional digital experiences for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding user needs, skilled in creating seamless design solutions, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research to gather insights and understand user behaviors, pain points, and needs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to articulate design ideas and concepts.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive designs.
• Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across products.
• Perform usability testing to validate design choices and iterate based on feedback.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity are integral to all design outputs.
• Stay updated on UX trends, tools, and best practices to bring fresh ideas to the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX projects and demonstrating user-centered design principles.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and interpreting data to inform design decisions.
• Familiarity with design systems and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in UX design, preferably within a fast-paced or agile environment.
• Prior experience working remotely is a plus.

Working Hours

• Flexible hours with the expectation of availability for key team meetings during standard U.S. business hours.
