Key Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile bi-weekly and monthly payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax forms, direct deposit information, and benefits deductions.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll-related expenses.
Address employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally, resolving discrepancies as needed.
Support HR administrative tasks such as onboarding, maintaining employee records, and preparing reports.
Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
Stay up-to-date on payroll and labor law changes to ensure compliance.
Partner with external vendors and internal departments on benefits administration and payroll software updates.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Preferred:
Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, Fundamental Payroll Certification).
Experience in benefits administration or HRIS systems.
Previous experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.
