Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile bi-weekly and monthly payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax forms, direct deposit information, and benefits deductions.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll-related expenses.

  • Address employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally, resolving discrepancies as needed.

  • Support HR administrative tasks such as onboarding, maintaining employee records, and preparing reports.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.

  • Stay up-to-date on payroll and labor law changes to ensure compliance.

  • Partner with external vendors and internal departments on benefits administration and payroll software updates.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field.

  • Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, Fundamental Payroll Certification).

  • Experience in benefits administration or HRIS systems.

  • Previous experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.
