Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Power BI Analyst to join our growing team at HR Service Jobs. As a Junior Power BI Analyst, you will support the data analytics team in developing insightful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with team members to understand reporting needs and gather requirements from stakeholders.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks using Power Query and other relevant tools.
• Work closely with senior analysts to improve data processes and implement best practices in data visualization.
• Provide regular updates and recommendations based on data analysis and reporting.
• Document and maintain clear specifications for reports, dashboards, and analytical processes.
• Support the development of automated reporting and data visualization solutions.
• Participate in testing and troubleshooting of Power BI reports to ensure accuracy and functionality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Power BI for creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting best practices.
• Experience with data manipulation and ETL processes.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
• Basic knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for Power BI.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Internship or freelance experience involving Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Experience with SQL or database management systems is beneficial.

Working Hours

• This is a contract position with flexible working hours.
• You will be expected to meet deadlines and collaborate with remote teams across different time zones, but there is no set schedule.
• Average weekly commitment: 20-30 hours, based on project needs.
