Job Summary
ChangeNow Denmark, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to driving social change and empowering communities through innovative initiatives, is seeking a passionate and creative Remote Communications Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in NGO communications, public relations, and digital outreach. You will support our communication strategies, help craft compelling content, and amplify our impact to diverse audiences across platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing communication strategies aligned with ChangeNow’s mission and objectives.
- Create and edit content for newsletters, social media, blogs, and press releases.
- Manage and update the organization’s social media profiles to enhance engagement and visibility.
- Support the team in creating awareness campaigns, event promotions, and community outreach initiatives.
- Conduct research on topics relevant to social impact, NGO initiatives, and sector trends to support content development.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and volunteers to ensure consistent messaging and communication.
- Monitor media coverage, online engagement, and audience feedback to provide insights for future strategies.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and communication material for stakeholders and donors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong storytelling ability and a passion for social issues and advocacy.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and content creation tools.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Spark is a plus.
- Ability to research, synthesize information, and translate it into engaging content.
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and deadlines.
Experience
- Prior internship or volunteer experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or NGO sector is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience in managing social media accounts or writing for digital platforms will be an advantage.
Working Hours
- Flexible working hours (20–25 hours per week), ideal for students or individuals balancing other commitments.
- Remote role – work from home or any location with reliable internet access.
- Availability for occasional team meetings and events, with schedules coordinated in advance.
