Job Summary


ChangeNow Denmark, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to driving social change and empowering communities through innovative initiatives, is seeking a passionate and creative Remote Communications Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in NGO communications, public relations, and digital outreach. You will support our communication strategies, help craft compelling content, and amplify our impact to diverse audiences across platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about advocacy, storytelling, and making a tangible difference in society.




Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in developing and executing communication strategies aligned with ChangeNow’s mission and objectives.

  • Create and edit content for newsletters, social media, blogs, and press releases.

  • Manage and update the organization’s social media profiles to enhance engagement and visibility.

  • Support the team in creating awareness campaigns, event promotions, and community outreach initiatives.

  • Conduct research on topics relevant to social impact, NGO initiatives, and sector trends to support content development.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and volunteers to ensure consistent messaging and communication.

  • Monitor media coverage, online engagement, and audience feedback to provide insights for future strategies.

  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and communication material for stakeholders and donors.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, or a related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong storytelling ability and a passion for social issues and advocacy.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and content creation tools.

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Spark is a plus.

  • Ability to research, synthesize information, and translate it into engaging content.

  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and deadlines.




Experience



  • Prior internship or volunteer experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or NGO sector is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Experience in managing social media accounts or writing for digital platforms will be an advantage.




Working Hours



  • Flexible working hours (20–25 hours per week), ideal for students or individuals balancing other commitments.

  • Remote role – work from home or any location with reliable internet access.

  • Availability for occasional team meetings and events, with schedules coordinated in advance.
