Job Summary
FutureAid DK, a leading non-governmental organization committed to sustainable development and community empowerment, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Intern to support our dynamic team. As an Administrative Intern, you will work closely with the program and management teams, assisting in daily operations, documentation, data management, and communication. This role is perfect for individuals aiming to build a career in nonprofit administration, development projects, or social sector management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general office management and administrative tasks, including document preparation, filing, and correspondence.
- Support project planning, tracking, and reporting by maintaining spreadsheets, databases, and records.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes to ensure smooth communication across teams.
- Help manage communication with stakeholders, donors, volunteers, and partners via email and phone.
- Assist with fundraising events, workshops, and awareness campaigns by providing logistical and administrative support.
- Monitor project timelines and follow up on pending tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Participate in drafting reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support data collection and analysis to assess project impact and effectiveness.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Administration, Social Work, Development Studies, Business Management, or related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
Experience
- Prior internship or volunteer experience in an NGO, nonprofit, or community-based organization is a plus but not mandatory.
- Exposure to administrative tasks, documentation, or coordination will be highly valued.
Working Hours
- Flexible working hours, typically 20–30 hours per week.
- Availability during regular office hours, with occasional tasks requiring extra hours or weekend support for events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking and basic data handling.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana) is advantageous.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness of global development issues.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
