Job Summary


HelpHands DK, a purpose-driven nonprofit organization committed to empowering communities and promoting sustainable development, is seeking a passionate and organized NGO Volunteer Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers who contribute to our projects and initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing volunteer engagement, building relationships, and ensuring that our programs are executed smoothly with the support of dedicated individuals. Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Coordinate the onboarding and training process for new volunteers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to contribute effectively.

  • Maintain a database of volunteers, track their participation, and ensure timely communication and engagement.

  • Work closely with program managers to align volunteer tasks with project goals and requirements.

  • Plan and organize volunteer events, workshops, and recognition programs to foster a sense of belonging and commitment.

  • Address volunteer concerns, provide support, and resolve issues in a professional and empathetic manner.

  • Prepare reports on volunteer involvement, retention, and feedback to guide future initiatives.

  • Collaborate with fundraising, communications, and program teams to highlight volunteer contributions in outreach and awareness campaigns.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in volunteer management, coordination, or community engagement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a multicultural environment.

  • Empathy, patience, and a service-oriented mindset.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and volunteer management software is a plus.




Experience



  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community outreach, or nonprofit program management.

  • Experience working in NGOs or social impact projects is highly desirable.

  • Prior experience in event planning or fundraising is an advantage.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week.

  • Flexibility required, as some events or activities may take place during weekends or evenings.

  • Hybrid model available depending on project requirements (office and remote work).
