Job Summary
Care4All Denmark, a compassionate and impactful non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities, is seeking a highly motivated NGO Field Coordinator – Refugee Assistance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of assistance programs for refugees and displaced populations. The ideal candidate will lead on-ground operations, coordinate with local stakeholders, and implement initiatives aimed at providing shelter, food, healthcare, education, and psychological support. This position requires someone who is empathetic, organized, and capable of working in challenging environments while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of refugee assistance programs in designated field areas.
- Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, partner organizations, and donors to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise field teams, including volunteers and support staff, and provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Conduct needs assessments, identify gaps in services, and propose interventions aligned with Care4All’s mission.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, reporting standards, and humanitarian guidelines.
- Manage logistics, supplies, and budgets to ensure efficient distribution of aid.
- Facilitate community engagement activities and awareness campaigns to build trust and resilience among refugee populations.
- Monitor program impact and prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure safety protocols and ethical standards are followed in all activities.
- Act as a liaison between field teams and headquarters, ensuring timely communication and problem-solving.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, International Development, Humanitarian Assistance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in humanitarian fieldwork, preferably with refugee populations.
- Strong project management and coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to navigate multicultural environments.
- Proficiency in preparing reports, documentation, and presentations.
- Knowledge of humanitarian standards, donor compliance, and monitoring frameworks.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and solve problems proactively.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to remote field locations.
Experience
- At least 3 years in field coordination roles within NGOs or international organizations working in refugee relief or crisis response.
- Experience in managing teams, coordinating logistics, and interfacing with government bodies or donors.
- Hands-on experience in program implementation and monitoring in post-conflict or emergency settings.
- Familiarity with psychosocial support interventions and basic healthcare initiatives is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Full-time position with flexible working arrangements depending on field requirements.
- Extended hours may be required during emergencies or project deadlines.
- Field assignments may include overnight stays and rotational deployments.
