Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and proactive NGO Project Officer – Education Sector to lead and support education initiatives aimed at improving learning outcomes, empowering communities, and fostering educational equity. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and oversee education-focused projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with Learn4All’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and ensure timely delivery of outputs and outcomes.
- Coordinate with government bodies, NGOs, educational institutions, and community stakeholders to foster partnerships and mobilize resources.
- Conduct needs assessments and field research to inform program design and ensure interventions are tailored to community needs.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate project milestones, challenges, and outcomes to donors, management, and partners.
- Provide technical support and training to field teams and local partners to enhance project effectiveness and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Monitor project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Assist in fundraising efforts and grant writing to support project expansion and continuity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in managing education projects, preferably within NGOs or development organizations.
- Strong understanding of education policy, curriculum development, and community engagement strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in project coordination or management within the education or development sector.
- Experience in grant writing, donor reporting, and compliance management is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working with community groups, educational institutions, and government agencies.
- Fieldwork exposure and experience working in diverse and multicultural settings.
Working Hours
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Flexible schedule with occasional weekend or evening commitments depending on project needs.
- Remote work with periodic field visits to program sites.
