Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.


• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training programs to ensure volunteers are equipped to perform their roles effectively.


• Manage and maintain volunteer databases, schedules, and assignments for various projects and events.


• Foster a positive and inclusive environment, ensuring volunteers feel valued, motivated, and supported.


• Collaborate with program managers to identify volunteer needs and align volunteer efforts with organizational goals.


• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to volunteers, recognizing achievements and addressing areas of improvement.


• Organize volunteer appreciation events and recognition programs to build morale and community engagement.


• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety protocols, and legal requirements related to volunteer activities.


• Track metrics and provide regular reports on volunteer participation, impact, and program efficiency.


• Act as a liaison between volunteers and management, addressing concerns and ensuring effective communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, or a related field.


• Proven experience (3+ years) in volunteer coordination, program management, or community engagement roles.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.


• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.


• Proficient in MS Office Suite and volunteer management software.


• Understanding of compliance, safety, and privacy requirements in nonprofit settings.


• Conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing or coordinating volunteer programs, preferably within an NGO or humanitarian organization.


• Experience working with cross-functional teams, community leaders, and external partners.


• Demonstrated ability to engage and retain volunteers while aligning their contributions with organizational goals.


• Experience in conducting training sessions, workshops, or community events.

Working Hours

• Full-time position (40 hours per week), with occasional evening or weekend events depending on program needs.


• Flexibility to support urgent or time-sensitive projects when required.
