Job Summary:
GrandStay Hotels is seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. This pivotal role is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a crucial part in delivering a seamless, welcoming, and memorable experience. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, possess strong communication skills, and maintain an organized and efficient front desk operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their stay.
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability, rates, and reservations.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle billing inquiries.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to meet guest needs.
- Provide information on hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.
- Ensure front desk area is organized, clean, and welcoming at all times.
- Follow safety, security, and emergency procedures to ensure guest and staff well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management is a plus.
- Previous experience in hospitality, front desk, or customer service preferred.
- Proficiency with hotel management software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle guest concerns tactfully.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a hotel front desk or customer-facing role preferred.
- Experience with reservation systems such as Opera, Maestro, or similar is advantageous.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position; shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to cover multiple shifts is a key requirement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, check-in/check-out procedures, and guest services.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
