Job Summary:

GrandStay Hotels is seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. This pivotal role is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a crucial part in delivering a seamless, welcoming, and memorable experience. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, possess strong communication skills, and maintain an organized and efficient front desk operation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their stay.
  • Check-in and check-out guests efficiently using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability, rates, and reservations.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and handle billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to meet guest needs.
  • Provide information on hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.
  • Ensure front desk area is organized, clean, and welcoming at all times.
  • Follow safety, security, and emergency procedures to ensure guest and staff well-being.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, front desk, or customer service preferred.
  • Proficiency with hotel management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle guest concerns tactfully.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a hotel front desk or customer-facing role preferred.
  • Experience with reservation systems such as Opera, Maestro, or similar is advantageous.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position; shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to cover multiple shifts is a key requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, check-in/check-out procedures, and guest services.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
