Job Summary


CargoWorks Canada, a leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor – Night Shift to oversee and manage our night operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the warehouse, maintaining inventory accuracy, and optimizing workflows while ensuring safety, productivity, and team cohesion. This is a critical leadership role that supports the company’s commitment to timely and efficient delivery services across North America.


The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a team of warehouse associates, coordinate night operations, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and work collaboratively with other departments to meet business objectives.




Key Responsibilities



  • Supervise and manage all night shift warehouse activities, ensuring operations are efficient, accurate, and aligned with company standards.

  • Oversee receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods while monitoring inventory levels.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff, including training and performance management.

  • Implement and enforce workplace safety and security policies to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular audits, stock counts, and report discrepancies in inventory.

  • Work closely with logistics, transportation, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.

  • Optimize processes to increase productivity, reduce errors, and meet service-level agreements.

  • Handle escalations and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.

  • Maintain detailed records, reports, and documentation related to warehouse activities.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar role in logistics, distribution, or manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and supply chain processes.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to train and develop team members while maintaining high morale and productivity.

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

  • Proficient in warehouse management software (WMS), MS Excel, and other reporting tools.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.




Experience



  • Minimum of 3–5 years of warehouse supervision or logistics coordination experience.

  • Experience working night shifts or managing teams during off-peak hours is preferred.

  • Experience in implementing safety protocols and compliance standards is a plus.




Working Hours



  • Night shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday to Friday (flexibility required on weekends or during peak periods).

  • Occasional overtime may be required based on business demands.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution procedures.

  • Ability to interpret and work with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.

  • Strong leadership with an emphasis on team collaboration and accountability.

  • Effective communication skills in English; bilingual candidates (French/Spanish) are a plus.

  • Adaptability to handle unexpected challenges and troubleshoot operational disruptions.

  • Proficiency in logistics software, spreadsheets, and data tracking tools.
