Location: Remote (Dallas, TX Residents Preferred)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Proofreader to review and polish digital content, marketing materials, and client documents. Ideal for individuals with a strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style. Preference will be given to applicants located in or near Dallas, Texas, due to occasional optional in-person team events or client briefings.

Key Responsibilities:

Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, clarity, and formatting
Review web copy, blog posts, reports, brochures, and social media content
Ensure tone and style align with brand guidelines
Provide clear feedback and flag inconsistencies or unclear phrasing
Work closely with content managers, writers, and editors remotely
Meet weekly deadlines and maintain quality benchmarks

Requirements:

Strong command of American English (grammar, punctuation, style)
Basic knowledge of AP Style or Chicago Manual of Style (preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
Good communication skills and deadline discipline
Experience using Google Docs, MS Word, and project tools like Trello or Slack
Must have a reliable internet connection and computer

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
Prior freelance or agency proofreading experience (1+ year preferred)
Residing in or around Dallas, TX for occasional team meetups (optional)
