Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for managing patient case accounts
- Review, update, and track patient information in internal systems
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurers, and patients to resolve billing issues
- Investigate discrepancies in claims or accounts and take corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal policies
- Communicate account statuses and next steps clearly to all stakeholders
- Handle inbound and outbound calls related to case inquiries and follow-ups
- Collaborate with the case management team to ensure patient needs are met
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare billing, insurance, case management, or related fields
- Strong understanding of medical billing codes, EOBs, or claims processing (preferred)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Tech-savvy with experience using EMR/EHR systems and billing platforms
- Ability to work independently and stay productive in a remote environment
- Must be available to work standard Eastern Time business hours
- High level of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism
- High-speed internet and a dedicated home office setup
