Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Manufacturing Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, capable of overseeing and optimizing production schedules, material flow, inventory management, and overall supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain for manufacturing, ensuring a seamless flow of materials and products from suppliers to production and final distribution.
- Production Scheduling: Coordinate production schedules to align with customer demand and inventory levels, optimizing the manufacturing process to meet delivery targets.
- Inventory Control: Manage raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory to prevent stockouts, minimize excess inventory, and ensure cost-effective inventory management.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials while managing costs. Negotiate pricing and contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Logistics Coordination: Ensure efficient transportation and delivery of materials to the manufacturing facility and finished products to distribution centers or customers.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the supply chain and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Demand Planning & Forecasting: Collaborate with the sales and production teams to forecast product demand, plan materials and resources accordingly, and ensure production continuity.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication across departments.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all materials, processes, and products meet quality standards and compliance regulations, including safety and environmental requirements.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor supply chain performance through KPIs, analyze trends, and generate reports to provide insights into inventory levels, order fulfillment, and supplier performance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including production scheduling, material management, and logistics
- Experience with inventory management systems (ERP, WMS, MRP) and manufacturing software
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage relationships with third-party logistics partners
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction
- Ability to analyze data and leverage it to make informed decisions
- Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work across departments and with external partners
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain best practices
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, CPIM)
- Experience working with lean or agile manufacturing methods
- Familiarity with global supply chain operations and international shipping/logistics
- Experience in quality management systems (ISO, Six Sigma)
