Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies in a timely manner.

  • Review and verify patient medical records and insurance coverage for billing accuracy.

  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, ensuring prompt resolution.

  • Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurers to clarify billing issues.

  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and billing databases accurately.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.

  • Generate billing reports and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in billing operations.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and insurance processes.

  • Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, providers, and insurers.

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information.

Experience



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration.

  • Experience with multiple insurance carriers and knowledge of payer-specific requirements is preferred.

  • Prior experience in a remote work setup is a plus.




Working Hours
