Job Summary
EdTech Hub is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Remote Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing engaging and effective educational content across multiple learning platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of curriculum design, learning theories, and digital instructional strategies to create interactive and impactful learning experiences for learners of all ages.
As part of a fully remote team, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and multimedia specialists to ensure content aligns with educational standards, learner needs, and the organization’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement curriculum for online courses, workshops, and training programs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform complex concepts into clear, interactive, and engaging learning experiences.
- Develop instructional materials, including lesson plans, assessments, multimedia content, and facilitator guides.
- Apply best practices in instructional design, learning theory, and adult education to enhance learner outcomes.
- Review and revise existing content to improve clarity, engagement, and educational effectiveness.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to upload, organize, and track course content and learner progress.
- Conduct quality assurance to ensure instructional materials meet organizational standards and accessibility requirements.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in educational technology, e-learning platforms, and curriculum development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience designing curriculum and instructional materials for online learning environments.
- Strong proficiency with instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas).
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, or Bloom’s Taxonomy.
- Ability to adapt content for diverse audiences and learning styles.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or e-learning content creation.
- Experience working in remote or distributed teams is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Working Hours
- Full-time, remote position.
- Standard working hours with flexibility based on project deadlines and collaboration needs.
- Some occasional meetings may require overlapping hours with team members in different time zones.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, digital pedagogy, and online engagement strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in multimedia content creation, including video, graphics, and interactive elements.
- Ability to analyze learner data and feedback to continuously improve course design.
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
