The Elite Job is seeking a highly motivated and organized Remote Telehealth Patient Intake Coordinator to join our growing virtual healthcare team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking telehealth services, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from initial outreach through appointment scheduling. You will collaborate with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and patients to gather accurate information, verify insurance, and facilitate timely care. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ healthcare journeys.




Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct initial patient intake calls via phone or video conferencing, collecting medical histories and relevant personal information.

  • Schedule telehealth appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize scheduling efficiency.

  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage, assisting patients with any pre-authorization requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Respond to patient inquiries promptly and professionally, addressing concerns or directing them to appropriate resources.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal data privacy policies.

  • Collaborate with care teams to support smooth patient transitions and follow-up care.

  • Document all patient interactions and updates in a timely and accurate manner.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, medical office management, or related field preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and empathetic demeanor.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Experience with EHR systems and telehealth platforms is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical terminology.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity.




Experience



  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in patient intake, medical administration, or healthcare coordination.

  • Prior telehealth or remote healthcare experience is an advantage.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday.

  • Flexible schedules available; some roles may require occasional evening or weekend availability to accommodate patient needs.

  • 100% remote work from a home office.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and telehealth technology.

  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.
