Job Summary


Progressive Technology is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Social Media Assistant (Admin Focus) to support our growing digital communications and online engagement efforts. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative capabilities who can also manage and maintain social media content, schedules, and performance tracking. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations across various online platforms while maintaining our brand’s professional voice and digital presence.




Key Responsibilities



  • Manage and schedule social media content across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.) using approved scheduling tools.

  • Support the marketing team with administrative tasks such as content organization, data entry, and maintaining digital files.

  • Monitor social media activity and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist in creating monthly content calendars, ensuring alignment with company campaigns and goals.

  • Track and report on engagement metrics, follower growth, and campaign performance using analytics tools.

  • Coordinate with designers, writers, and other team members to ensure brand consistency in all published materials.

  • Maintain accurate records of campaign results, deadlines, and social media budgets.

  • Research current trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to help inform social media strategies.

  • Assist with administrative coordination of social media ads, promotions, and influencer collaborations.

  • Perform other administrative duties as required to support marketing and management teams.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, or Meta Business Suite).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced virtual environment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with a remote team.




Experience



  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or administrative support roles.

  • Experience working remotely or in a virtual environment preferred.

  • Prior experience assisting marketing or communications teams will be an advantage.




Working Hours



  • Fully remote position.

  • Flexible working hours, with the ability to attend virtual meetings in overlapping time zones as required.

  • Approx. 30–40 hours per week, depending on project needs.
