Job Summary
Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Work From Home Typist (High-Speed) to join our remote operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately typing, formatting, and processing various documents, reports, and data with speed and precision. This role is perfect for individuals with strong typing proficiency, excellent time management, and a keen eye for detail. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of documentation that supports our clients’ business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Type and format a wide range of documents, including reports, forms, correspondence, and data entries.
- Maintain 100% accuracy while transcribing handwritten or scanned materials into digital formats.
- Review and proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and formatting consistency.
- Ensure timely delivery of completed typing assignments according to set deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information.
- Organize and store digital files for easy retrieval and compliance with company standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status and priorities.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support the team’s overall productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional typing speed of at least 60 words per minute (WPM) with high accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and PDF conversion tools.
- Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus over long periods.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet strict deadlines.
- Reliable internet connection and personal computer/laptop with updated software.
- Excellent written communication and document formatting skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a data entry, transcription, or typing-based role preferred.
- Prior remote work experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
Working Hours
- Flexible remote working schedule, with the ability to manage workload independently.
- Standard expectation of 25–40 hours per week, depending on project demand.
- Occasional weekend or evening availability may be required for urgent assignments.
