Job Summary
The United Nations Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Global Partnership Development Intern to support our efforts in building and strengthening strategic partnerships worldwide. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international development, nonprofit operations, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to the Foundation’s mission to advance global priorities such as health, climate action, and human rights. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, researching, and cultivating potential partnerships with corporations, foundations, governments, and multilateral organizations.
- Support the preparation of partnership proposals, presentations, and briefing materials.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of partnership interactions and progress within internal databases.
- Conduct market and sector analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and potential funding sources.
- Coordinate internal meetings and support cross-departmental initiatives related to partnership development.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the impact of partnerships and prepare reports for senior leadership.
- Contribute to communications materials, newsletters, and digital content highlighting partnership initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, Business, or a related field (or current enrollment in a relevant program).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft professional documents and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools or database management.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Passion for global development and nonprofit work.
Experience
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in nonprofit organizations, international development, public policy, or corporate social responsibility is preferred but not required.
- Exposure to partnership development, fundraising, or stakeholder engagement is a plus.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time internship, with flexibility to accommodate academic commitments.
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (local time), with potential adjustments for virtual collaboration across time zones.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Multilingual abilities are an advantage, particularly in French, Spanish, or Arabic.
