Save the Children is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Grant Writer to join our global team. This role is pivotal in securing funding for programs that improve the lives of children worldwide. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating program goals into compelling grant proposals and will work collaboratively with program and development teams to ensure timely, high-quality submissions. Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
Develop, draft, and submit persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports in alignment with Save the Children’s strategic goals.
Collaborate closely with program teams to gather accurate data, program narratives, budgets, and other supporting documentation.
Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and submission schedules to ensure timely submissions.
Track and report on the status of grant applications and outcomes to senior management.
Monitor donor requirements and ensure compliance with grant reporting and accountability standards.
Contribute to the development of fundraising strategies by providing insights and recommendations based on grant trends and funder priorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with funders and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and assess grant eligibility.
Experience with budget preparation and grant financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and online grant management systems.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of grant writing experience, preferably within international NGOs, nonprofit organizations, or humanitarian programs.
Proven track record of successfully securing grants from diverse funding sources.
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including program and finance staff.
