Job Summary
UNICEF is seeking a passionate and results-driven Fundraising Specialist to join our team on a part-time remote basis. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and managing innovative fundraising strategies to support UNICEF’s mission of protecting and promoting children’s rights worldwide. The ideal candidate will be skilled in donor engagement, digital fundraising, and partnership development, with a strong commitment to making a global impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fundraising campaigns, both digital and traditional, to meet organizational goals.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations.
- Manage donor databases, track contributions, and ensure timely reporting and acknowledgment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling fundraising content and campaigns.
- Analyze fundraising performance metrics to optimize campaigns and strategies.
- Stay updated on trends in philanthropy, nonprofit fundraising, and donor engagement.
- Represent UNICEF at virtual and in-person events to build awareness and foster partnerships.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor management, or nonprofit development.
- Strong knowledge of digital fundraising tools, CRM systems, and online donation platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret fundraising data and drive decision-making.
- Passion for UNICEF’s mission and commitment to children’s rights and welfare.
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit sectors.
- Demonstrated success in donor acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies.
- Experience with virtual fundraising campaigns and remote collaboration is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Part-time, flexible remote work schedule.
- Availability to participate in virtual meetings and campaign planning sessions as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple initiatives.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, fundraising CRMs, and social media platforms.
- Creative thinking for designing engaging fundraising campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships with donors and stakeholders.
