Anthem Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Administrative Support professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative assistance to healthcare providers, patients, and internal teams, ensuring smooth operations within our healthcare services. Key Responsibilities



  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating communications between patients, providers, and internal departments.

  • Assist in claims processing, billing inquiries, and updating patient and provider information in healthcare management systems.

  • Respond promptly to phone, email, and online inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

  • Prepare reports, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.

  • Support healthcare teams in coordinating patient care, referrals, and follow-ups.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless administrative workflows.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient and company information.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and healthcare management software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.




Experience



  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare administrative support, medical office assistance, or related administrative roles.

  • Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday.

  • Standard office hours, with flexibility for remote work schedules.

  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet deadlines or assist with urgent administrative tasks.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of healthcare policies, insurance processes, and HIPAA compliance.

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote team environment.

  • High level of accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks.

  • Professional and courteous interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, providers, and colleagues.
