Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed pharmacists with prescription processing, including verifying patient information and medication details.
Prepare and label medications accurately under pharmacist supervision.
Maintain inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications, including restocking shelves and managing expiration dates.
Handle pharmacy documentation, including prescription records, insurance claims, and inventory logs.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and guiding them through pharmacy processes.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and CVS Health regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
Support pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in daily tasks to enhance workflow efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician certification is a plus.
Basic understanding of pharmacology and medication management.
Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in performing tasks.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using pharmacy software and basic computer applications.
Experience:
Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in customer service roles can be advantageous.
