Key Responsibilities



  • Accurately enter patient, insurance, and medical data into electronic health record (EHR) systems and other databases.

  • Verify data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy, resolving discrepancies when necessary.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive healthcare information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal and external audits.

  • Collaborate with healthcare staff, insurance teams, and administrative personnel to ensure timely data updates.

  • Support the improvement of data entry processes to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Respond promptly to data-related inquiries from other departments.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in data entry, preferably in healthcare or medical records.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with EHR systems.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive information.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.




Experience



  • 1–3 years of experience in data entry, medical records, or administrative support in a healthcare setting.

  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards is highly desirable.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

  • Standard working hours with potential flexibility depending on department needs.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data inconsistencies.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance procedures, and healthcare workflows is a plus.

  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.

  • Capability to adapt to changing software systems and organizational processes.
