Job Summary


Honeywell is seeking a talented Mechanical CAD Designer to join our innovative engineering team. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing precise 2D and 3D mechanical designs, layouts, and models for various Honeywell products and systems. You will collaborate closely with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and project managers to transform concepts into high-quality, manufacturable designs that meet Honeywell’s global standards for performance and reliability. This position requires a strong understanding of CAD software, mechanical design principles, and attention to detail.




Key Responsibilities



  • Create and modify detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CREO).

  • Work closely with engineers to interpret design intent and ensure designs meet technical and functional specifications.

  • Participate in design reviews, prototype testing, and production readiness assessments.

  • Ensure all designs comply with Honeywell’s design and documentation standards, as well as relevant industry regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineering.

  • Manage drawing revisions, bill of materials (BOMs), and maintain version control within the product data management (PDM) system.

  • Conduct tolerance analysis and basic mechanical simulations to verify design feasibility.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in design processes, tools, and documentation.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or CREO.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.

  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, and mechanical component design.

  • Excellent visualization, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality design documentation.

  • Basic understanding of thermal, structural, and fluid design considerations is an advantage.




Experience



  • 1–3 years of experience as a Mechanical CAD Designer, Draftsman, or in a similar role.

  • Experience working in an industrial, aerospace, or manufacturing design environment will be preferred.

  • Fresh graduates with strong CAD skills may also apply.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Flexibility to meet project deadlines as needed.
