Job Summary
Schneider Electric is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer – Entry Level to join our engineering and innovation team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are enthusiastic about designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems that support sustainable energy solutions. You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design electrical components, improve energy efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems and components for industrial and commercial applications.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and layout plans using CAD software.
- Support product development teams with prototype building, validation, and performance testing.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies to enhance design efficiency and sustainability.
- Participate in electrical load calculations, circuit design, and fault analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices (IEC, NEC, etc.).
- Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other technical teams to deliver projects on schedule.
- Provide technical documentation, reports, and support during project reviews and audits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during development and implementation phases.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuit design, and power systems.
- Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, drives, and control systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical design or related fields.
- Internship or academic project experience in energy systems, electrical circuits, or automation will be an advantage.
Working Hours
- Full-time position (40 hours per week).
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Flexible working options and occasional remote work available.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of renewable energy concepts, smart grids, and sustainable power solutions.
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering documentation tools.
