Job Summary:


As a Procurement Assistant at General Electric, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and maintaining relationships with suppliers. You will assist in managing procurement documentation, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that meet quality and budget standards. Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist the procurement team with purchase order creation, follow-up, and documentation.

  • Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, supplier contracts, and related documentation.

  • Support the sourcing process by researching potential suppliers and gathering quotes.

  • Monitor inventory levels and provide support for reordering materials.

  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and procurement issues.

  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and ethical sourcing practices.




Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and basic supply chain principles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.




Experience:



  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support roles.

  • Experience in a multinational company or industrial sector is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is advantageous.




Working Hours:



  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Flexibility may be required to meet deadlines or coordinate with international suppliers.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
