Job Summary
Activision Blizzard, a global leader in interactive entertainment, is seeking a meticulous and passionate QA Tester to join our Gaming Division. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the highest quality gaming experience for millions of players worldwide. You will work closely with developers, designers, and production teams to identify, document, and track issues, ensuring our games meet the standards our players expect. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing of video games across multiple platforms, including consoles, PC, and mobile devices.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies in gameplay, graphics, audio, and user interface.
- Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Participate in regression testing and validation of new features.
- Follow and improve QA testing processes and contribute to team best practices.
- Assist in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
- Support post-launch testing and assist in monitoring live game performance and player feedback.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong passion for gaming and knowledge of current game trends.
- Basic understanding of game development processes and QA methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear bug reporting.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
Experience
- Previous QA testing experience in the gaming or software industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with game consoles, PC, or mobile game testing is highly desirable.
- Internships or projects in game testing or game development are advantageous.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week.
- May require flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or overtime during critical game releases or updates.
- Remote and on-site opportunities may be available depending on the team and project requirements.
