As a DevOps Engineer at Atlassian, you will work closely with software engineers, product teams, and security experts to streamline development pipelines, improve deployment processes, and support a culture of high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
Automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure provisioning using CI/CD tools.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of applications and services.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely solutions to maintain uptime.
Implement best practices for security, reliability, and performance across environments.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure minimal service disruption.
Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes, tools, and workflows.
Document system architecture, processes, and configuration for knowledge sharing and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Expertise in configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Bamboo.
Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
Knowledge of networking, security practices, and cloud architecture best practices.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or site reliability engineering roles.
Proven track record in managing production-grade infrastructure and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Working Hours
Remote role with flexible working hours; must be able to collaborate across multiple time zones.
Occasional on-call support may be required based on rotation schedules.
