As an Online ESL Tutor, you will deliver one-on-one lessons to children aged 4-12, helping them develop English language skills through a fun, immersive, and student-centered approach. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to teach from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct engaging, interactive online English lessons for children aged 4-12, following VIPKid’s curriculum.
Assess students’ progress and adapt lesson plans to meet their individual learning needs.
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students build confidence in speaking and writing English.
Maintain accurate records of lesson attendance, performance, and student progress.
Create a positive, motivating, and safe learning environment for students.
Collaborate with VIPKid’s teaching team and support staff to continually improve teaching methods and curriculum effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field.
Strong proficiency in English with excellent grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
Passion for teaching children and fostering a love for learning.
Ability to engage students through creative, interactive, and fun teaching methods.
Comfortable using technology, including video conferencing platforms, online whiteboards, and digital teaching resources.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience
Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in tutoring, coaching, or working with children is a strong plus.
Familiarity with ESL teaching strategies or online education platforms is advantageous.
Working Hours
Flexible, part-time schedule.
Peak hours: Early mornings and evenings, according to U.S. time zones.
Ability to commit to a minimum number of weekly teaching hours is required (typically 5-10 hours to start).
