Job Summary


Delta Airlines is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing our fleet of aircraft to ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with engineers and operations teams to identify technical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and guarantee compliance with FAA regulations. Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct routine and detailed inspections of aircraft, including engines, airframes, landing gear, and avionics systems.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance as per manufacturer and FAA guidelines.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with federal regulations, Delta Airlines policies, and industry safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document all repairs, inspections, and part replacements.

  • Collaborate with engineers, flight crews, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Assist in aircraft modifications, upgrades, and system installations as required.

  • Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated on new aircraft models, tools, and aviation technology.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification required.

  • Proven experience in aircraft maintenance and repair.

  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and mechanical skills.

  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and avionics systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.

  • Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Physical stamina and ability to work in varying environments (hangars, tarmacs, confined spaces).




Experience



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial aircraft maintenance preferred.

  • Experience with multiple aircraft types and models is a plus.

  • Previous exposure to maintenance tracking software and diagnostic tools is advantageous.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position with flexible scheduling.

  • May include nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts depending on operational requirements.

  • Overtime opportunities available.
