Job Summary:

IQVIA is seeking a meticulous and motivated Research Assistant – Healthcare Data to support our global healthcare research initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and maintaining high-quality healthcare data to support critical research projects. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and project managers to ensure accurate and timely data processing, contributing directly to evidence-based healthcare decisions. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare analytics, research integrity, and data-driven insights.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and validate healthcare data from multiple sources including clinical trials, medical records, and public datasets.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining databases for research purposes.
  • Conduct preliminary data analysis and generate reports to support ongoing research projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, statisticians, and project managers, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain strict adherence to data privacy, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and anomalies in data and propose corrective measures.
  • Support literature reviews, documentation, and preparation of research reports or publications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools. Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Python) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in healthcare research, clinical data management, or related data-focused roles.
  • Internship or project experience in healthcare analytics, medical research, or epidemiology is highly desirable.

Working Hours:

  • Standard workweek: 40 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements may be available depending on project needs.
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of healthcare data sources and research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and ethical requirements in clinical research (HIPAA, GCP, GDPR).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail to ensure high-quality data analysis.
  • Proficiency in digital collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom, SharePoint).
