Job Summary
BYJU’S, a global leader in ed-tech and personalized learning, is seeking passionate and skilled Online Tutors for Math and Science. As an Online Tutor, you will empower students to understand complex concepts, foster curiosity, and help them achieve academic excellence. This role involves delivering engaging lessons via our digital platform, providing personalized guidance, and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct live, interactive online tutoring sessions for students in Math and Science across various grade levels.
- Develop and deliver personalized lesson plans aligned with BYJU’S curriculum and teaching methodology.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic growth.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that motivates students to learn and explore.
- Address student queries promptly and clarify doubts in real-time during sessions.
- Maintain records of student performance and share progress reports with parents/guardians when required.
- Collaborate with fellow tutors and the academic team to improve lesson content and delivery.
- Stay updated with the latest teaching practices, tools, and resources in online education.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Education, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Math and Science subjects, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Comfort with digital tools and online teaching platforms; ability to manage virtual classrooms effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching students of different learning levels.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs.
Experience
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred but not mandatory. Fresh graduates with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude are welcome.
- Experience in online teaching or e-learning platforms is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Flexible part-time or full-time opportunities.
- Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, and weekends, depending on student schedules and requirements.
- The role is fully remote, allowing tutors to teach from the comfort of their homes.
