Job Summary
RemoteBase is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Virtual HR Assistant (Female Only) to join our growing remote team. The ideal candidate will assist in all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR administration. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, people-focused, and passionate about supporting a dynamic, remote-first organization. You will play a vital role in maintaining smooth HR operations and ensuring a positive experience for all team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in end-to-end recruitment processes including job posting, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and follow-ups.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities for new hires and exiting employees.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR databases are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate internal communication regarding HR policies, announcements, and events.
- Help design and implement employee engagement and recognition programs.
- Manage attendance, leave tracking, and other HR compliance documentation.
- Provide administrative support to HR management for reports, performance reviews, and training coordination.
- Handle confidential employee information with integrity and discretion.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR management tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Professional demeanor with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or administrative support roles.
- Previous experience in a remote or virtual HR position is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with recruitment tools (LinkedIn, job boards, ATS) is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Flexible working hours with availability during core business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST).
- Monday to Friday; occasional weekend availability for urgent HR coordination may be required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset.
- Tech-savvy with adaptability to various HR software and communication platforms (Slack, Zoom, Trello, etc.).
