Job Summary


IndiGo, India’s leading airline, is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Ticketing Agent to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in providing seamless booking experiences, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth travel journey for our passengers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and possess excellent communication skills to handle diverse customer needs efficiently.




Key Responsibilities



  • Assist customers in booking, modifying, and canceling flight tickets through online platforms, call centers, or airport counters.

  • Provide accurate information regarding fares, schedules, promotions, baggage policies, and other travel-related inquiries.

  • Process payments, issue tickets, and ensure compliance with airline and regulatory procedures.

  • Handle customer complaints, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a high standard of service.

  • Maintain records of ticketing transactions and generate reports as required.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless travel experiences for passengers.

  • Stay updated on airline policies, fare rules, and travel regulations.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality, Travel, or Business Administration is preferred.

  • Strong computer skills, especially in reservation and ticketing systems (GDS such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre preferred).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer-centric mindset with problem-solving abilities.




Experience



  • Previous experience in airline ticketing, travel agencies, or customer service is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with airline ticketing processes, fares, and GDS systems is a plus.




Working Hours



  • Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per airline operational requirements.

  • Ability to work under pressure during peak travel periods.
