Job Summary
Accenture is seeking motivated and technically driven individuals to join our team as IT Support Interns. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the IT support field within a globally recognized consulting and technology company. The role involves providing technical assistance, maintaining IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless technology operations for internal teams and clients. Interns will work closely with experienced IT professionals and gain valuable exposure to enterprise-level IT infrastructure, service management tools, and support methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Provide support for system installations, updates, and configurations.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with IT policies.
- Log and track technical issues using IT ticketing systems.
- Support in maintaining IT documentation and knowledge base updates.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Perform system checks, software updates, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Assist in testing and implementing new technologies and applications.
- Provide remote and on-site support for internal employees as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general IT tools.
Experience
- Prior internship experience in IT support or helpdesk roles will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Freshers with a strong technical foundation and eagerness to learn are highly encouraged to apply.
Working Hours
- Full-time internship (Monday to Friday) – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Flexible working arrangements may be available depending on project needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, and VPN.
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting (PCs, printers, peripherals).
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
