Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, design, and supervision of civil engineering projects within BHEL plants or project sites.
Conduct field surveys, data collection, and assist in preparing drawings, blueprints, and project documentation.
Support senior engineers in quality inspection of materials, site supervision, and progress tracking.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions related to design improvements and cost optimization.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental guidelines, and BHEL’s quality management systems.
Provide support in tender documentation, quantity estimation, and bill verification processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and project management departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute (AICTE approved).
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, structural design, and material science.
Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, MS Office, and other civil engineering tools.
Basic knowledge of project management techniques and safety protocols.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under supervision and meet project deadlines.
Experience
Freshers are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with up to 1 year of relevant internship or field experience will have an added advantage.
Working Hours
Full-Time Apprenticeship Program (as per BHEL norms).
Typically, 8 hours per day, Monday to Saturday.
