IndiGo, India’s leading airline, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Flight Dispatcher Assistant to join our Operations Control Centre team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting flight dispatchers with pre-flight planning, flight monitoring, and coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time operations. This position requires excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for aviation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Assist flight dispatchers in preparing flight plans based on weather conditions, aircraft performance, and operational requirements.
Collect, analyze, and distribute operational information to flight and ground crews.
Monitor aircraft movements, flight progress, and update relevant teams on any schedule or route changes.
Support in coordinating with Air Traffic Control (ATC), maintenance, crew scheduling, and airport operations.
Ensure compliance with DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) and company regulations in all dispatch-related activities.
Maintain accurate records of flight data, operational logs, and communication reports.
Assist in handling irregular operations, diversions, and emergency procedures when required.
Participate in shift briefings and ensure smooth information handover between shifts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or related field (preferred).
Strong understanding of flight planning, meteorology, and aviation operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in MS Office and flight planning software tools.
Ability to work under pressure and make quick, data-driven decisions.
High attention to detail and accuracy in operational data handling.
Experience
Fresh graduates with a strong interest in aviation are welcome to apply.
Prior experience or internship in flight dispatch or airline operations will be an added advantage.
Working Hours
This role involves rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24x7 flight operations.
Shift duration: 8–9 hours with scheduled breaks as per company policy.

Capability to analyze weather charts and NOTAMs effectively.
