Job Summary

Google is seeking a highly motivated and creative UX Design Intern to join our dynamic user experience team. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other UX/UI team members to translate requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Contribute to the creation of design guidelines, style guides, and UX documentation.
  • Present design solutions and rationale to team members and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in UX/UI design.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design projects, including wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and visual design fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to iterate quickly based on feedback and testing results.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or front-end development is a plus but not mandatory.

Experience

  • This is an internship position, ideally suited for undergraduate or graduate students in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Visual Design, Graphic Design, or related fields.
  • Prior experience with UX projects (academic, freelance, or personal) is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time internship (typically 40 hours per week).
  • Flexible working schedule depending on academic requirements and team needs.
  • Remote or on-site options may be available depending on location and project requirements.
