Job Summary


Google Cloud is seeking a highly motivated and talented Cloud Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions.

  • Work on real projects involving Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products and services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to implement efficient and reliable cloud solutions.

  • Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews.

  • Support troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of cloud systems.

  • Document workflows, architectures, and best practices for knowledge sharing.

  • Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and propose innovative solutions.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Go.

  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, networking, and databases.

  • Understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.




Experience



  • Previous internship experience or academic projects involving software development or cloud computing is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with open-source projects or contributions to GitHub repositories is a plus.




Working Hours



  • Full-time internship with flexible working hours to accommodate academic schedules.

  • Duration: Typically 12–16 weeks (Summer or Winter internship programs).
