Job Summary


Genpact is seeking highly motivated and analytical individuals to join our Data Analytics Trainee Internship Program. This internship is designed for aspiring data professionals who want to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and decision-making processes. As a Data Analytics Trainee, you will work closely with experienced analysts and business leaders, contributing to real-world projects while developing technical and analytical skills critical for a successful career in data analytics.




Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in gathering, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources to support business insights.

  • Use statistical tools and software to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

  • Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide analytical support.

  • Participate in problem-solving sessions to identify opportunities for process improvements.

  • Maintain documentation of analyses, methodologies, and project workflows.

  • Stay updated with the latest data analytics trends, tools, and best practices.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or related fields.

  • Strong understanding of data analysis concepts, including descriptive and inferential statistics.

  • Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or Power BI.

  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning, transformation, and visualization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.




Experience



  • This is an entry-level internship, so no prior professional experience is required.

  • Academic projects, research experience, or prior internships in data analytics, business intelligence, or related areas will be an advantage.




Working Hours



  • Standard internship hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible hours may be considered).

  • The internship duration is typically 3–6 months, with opportunities for extension or full-time employment based on performance.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, and visualization techniques.

  • Strong logical reasoning and the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative team environments.

  • Quick learner with a growth mindset and adaptability to changing business needs.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages (Python, R, SQL) is preferred.
