Preply is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Online English Tutors to join our dynamic global team. As an Online English Tutor, you will provide one-on-one instruction to students of various ages and proficiency levels, helping them achieve their language goals through engaging and personalized lessons. This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to teach from the comfort of your own home while making a meaningful impact on learners worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct personalized online English lessons using Preply’s platform and teaching resources.
Assess students’ language proficiency and develop tailored lesson plans to meet individual learning objectives.
Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment to encourage student engagement and confidence.
Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, levels, and ages.
Communicate effectively with students and, when applicable, parents or guardians regarding progress and recommendations.
Stay updated with language teaching methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
Ability to explain concepts clearly and adjust teaching style to suit the student’s needs.
Technologically proficient with familiarity in online teaching platforms and digital tools.
Patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.
Teaching certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
Prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly desirable, especially in online or remote learning environments.
Experience working with diverse age groups and international students is an advantage.
Working Hours
Flexible working hours to accommodate students from different time zones.
Ability to commit to a minimum number of teaching hours per week is preferred.
Fully remote role, allowing for work from home.
