Job Summary
Wipro, a global leader in IT services and consulting, is seeking highly motivated and talented Data Science Interns to join our Machine Learning Projects team. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior data scientists and engineers to develop, test, and deploy machine learning models.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Assist in designing data pipelines and implementing algorithms for predictive modeling, classification, and clustering.
- Participate in the full machine learning lifecycle: data collection, preprocessing, model building, evaluation, and optimization.
- Document methodologies, experiments, and findings clearly and effectively.
- Present results and insights to cross-functional teams and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in data science and AI.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts, data preprocessing, and model evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience
- Prior internship or academic project experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exposure to real-world datasets and hands-on modeling projects will be advantageous.
Working Hours
- Full-time internship: 8–10 hours per day.
- Flexible hours may be considered based on academic commitments.
- Duration: 3–6 months, with a possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role based on performance.
