Job Summary:
iMedX is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Medical Transcriptionist to join our growing team. In this role, you will convert physician and healthcare provider audio recordings into accurate and comprehensive medical documents. As a critical part of our healthcare documentation team, you will ensure timely and precise transcription to support patient care and clinical operations. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while contributing to a professional and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe medical reports from dictation recordings, including patient histories, physical examinations, operative reports, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology, grammar, spelling, and iMedX formatting standards.
- Review and proofread transcriptions for accuracy, completeness, and clarity before submission.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Meet daily transcription deadlines while managing workload efficiently.
- Collaborate with physicians, editors, and other team members to clarify ambiguous dictations or correct discrepancies.
- Update and maintain transcription logs and records as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent command of English language, grammar, and punctuation.
- Proficient in typing with high accuracy and speed (minimum 60 WPM preferred).
- Experience with medical transcription software or familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Experience:
- Prior experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or in a related healthcare documentation role is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with relevant medical or transcription training may also be considered.
Working Hours:
- Flexible work-from-home schedule.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with medical abbreviations and healthcare documentation standards.

- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Word, and transcription software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information responsibly.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and communication skills.
