Job Summary
IndiGo Airlines is seeking energetic, customer-focused, and professional Ground Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for passengers, ensuring seamless airport operations and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires individuals with strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for aviation. Female candidates are preferred due to passenger handling requirements in certain areas.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist passengers at check-in counters, boarding gates, and arrival areas.
Ensure smooth processing of check-ins, boarding, and baggage handling while adhering to safety regulations.
Provide accurate flight information, updates, and guidance to passengers.
Handle passenger queries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and empathy.
Coordinate with ground operations teams, security personnel, and other departments to ensure operational efficiency.
Assist in monitoring and managing boarding procedures, priority passengers, and special assistance requirements.
Maintain airport counters, lounges, and service areas in a professional and organized manner.
Report any irregularities, incidents, or operational challenges to the supervisory team promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, or related field is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is advantageous.
Professional appearance, confident demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
Basic computer skills for handling booking and check-in systems.
Understanding of airport operations, safety procedures, and passenger handling standards is a plus.
Experience
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation is preferred but not mandatory.
Fresher candidates with strong communication and interpersonal skills are encouraged to apply.
Working Hours
Shifts may vary depending on flight schedules, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Flexibility to work in rotational shifts is required.
